I was delighted to present an Artist's Proof from the 50x70 Edition of my newly released "Jubilee Clump, Wotton-under-Edge" to Martin Clarke, co-Chair of Under The Edge Arts in the Chipping Hall, as a thank you for their support and recent opportunities to exhibit in their fabulous arts centre.
It has been so good to have created a piece of a local landmark, so very familiar to me when I lived in Wotton-under-Edge.
I'm very pleased to announce that my latest piece, Jubilee Clump, Wotton Hill is now completed and the first prints are back from the Fine Art Printers. I'm delighted to have created a piece from my home town of Wotton-under-Edge that also has such strong memories from good times past.
Although now available already here in my online store, it will first be shown publically in all 3 editions at the Chipping Hall, The Chipping, Wotton-under-Edge during the Wotton Secret Gardens Trail (Sun 26th / Mon 27th May).
What a wonderful weekend at Goodwood Racecourse with Sussex Art Fairs. It was their first ever event and I had no idea what to expect, but it was full of excellent artists, many of whom I have got to know over the past two years, which made for a fun and friendly time. Even better were the really interested and enthusiastic art lovers who kindly showed so much interest in my work, not least those who have acquired some of my pieces!
It’s been fascinating being part of such a major event. Tens of thousands of visitors and endless flowers, displays and show gardens. Demonstrating my technique has been reassuringly appreciated (while working on my next artwork, Wotton Hill).
It's been good being in my home town, Wotton-under-Edge, setting up and preparing for the Under The Edge Arts Trail that's on tomorrow, Sunday 5th May and Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May - open from 10am - 4pm.
I'm in the Chipping Hall (the Chipping) alongside great artists, (and mini cafe) as well as all the others artists and craftspeople throughout the town - a great Bank Holiday excursion!
